Georgia Downtowns on Our Minds

A whirlwind visit with Stockbridge, Hampton, and Jonesboro

​Well, we are doing our best to create our own Georgia version. Embarking on our 2017 Georgia Tour, we have visited with many of our colleagues and friends in their downtowns. For example, we have recently traveled to

• Calhoun, for the Region 1 Managers Meeting (thanks, Suzanne!)
• Washington (hey, Elizabeth!)
• Toccoa and Cornelia (hey, Connie; hey, Jessie!)
• Athens, to join in on Georgia Main Street training (thanks, Jessica, Leigh, Tommy, Carmine, and Julien!)
• Statesboro and Brunswick (hey, Allen; hey, Matthew!)
• Jefferson, for the Regions 2 and 5 Managers Meeting (thanks, Beth!)
• Milledgeville, for the Regions 6 and 7 Managers Meeting (thanks, Carlee!)

Yesterday, we spent time in Stockbridge, Hampton, and Jonesboro (hey, Kiera and Lisa; hey, Denise and Dwayne; hey, Ricky and Mayor Day!). What a great visit we had while meeting with downtown directors and touring these Georgia gems. Each city is gifted with visionary leadership, people who are committed to realizing their community's vision and increasing their city's economic vitality. If you get a chance, go visit!
